Jordan ready for Red Hands

Philip Jordan could be in line to make his first appearance in a Tyrone jersey this year when Mickey Harte's team welcome Cork to Omagh this Saturday night for round four of the NFL.

After undergoing surgery on his hip at the end of last year, the Moy defender suffered a set-back in his recovery when he aggravated his groin which delayed his comeback by several months up until now.

Having played the full hour, along with Sean Cavanagh, in their club's Ulster League meeting with Portglenone of Antrim, the All Star pair could well return for Harte this weekend against the side which they lost out to in last year's All-Ireland SFC semi-final.

The news comes as a massive boost to Harte whose team are pointless at the bottom of Division One after losing the opening three rounds and are in bad need of a win when the Rebels visit Healy Park.
