Mulligan upbeat on latest injury
Leitrim ace Emlyn Mulligan has said past experience can help him over come his latest knee injury set-back.
The Melvin Gaels attacker suffered reoccurrence of the same cruciate injury which ruled him out of the entire 2009 season whilst training with his club last weekend and he now looks set for another spell on the sidelines.
However, while he does not yet know how long this knee problem will keep him out of action for, Mulligan is still upbeat having learned some lessons last year.
"It is a big set-back after coming back so quickly and I was only really getting into it again after a few games in recent weeks," Mulligan told the Leitrim Observer.
"Strangely, it is a big help having had the injury last year because I know exactly what I have to do. I know that I have to get the legs massive so they are strong enough to take these knocks.
"But when you are coming back from a long term injury, every little knock seems to put you back and you pick up injuries much easier."
