Kernan will play Conroy

Galway boss Joe Kernan says he will expect to have Paul Conroy available for selection for this Sunday's game against Kerry, despite the star midfielder's services being needed just three days later against Sligo in the Connacht U21 FC.

Kernan feels that the player's services will be badly required as the Tribesmen look to secure their second win in Division One of the NFL when Jack O'Connor's team stadium and is willing to risk him ahead of a crucial provincial semi-final with the Yeats County on St Patrick's Day

"It's something we'll have to discuss but I'll be expecting Paul Conroy to be available, that's for sure," said Kernan.

The Crossmaglen man also added that Conroy's inclusion for Sunday is motivated by trying to get a regular first 15.

"I'd still be happy with a lot of what we're doing. We're trying to change a few small things and obviously to get a settled team is the ultimate priority," he added.
