McDermott talks up Saints' challenge

Kilmurry-Ibrickane manager Micheal McDermott has ratcheted up the mind games ahead of his date at Croke Park on March 17th by talking up Ulster representatives St. Galls.

McDermott has great admiration for the Antrim kingpins and believes they will pose a serious challenge to his side's bid for All-Ireland club SFC honours.

"St. Gall's are a very good, quality side," said the Cavan native. "A physical side, they are good at ball retention because they are quite good at seven-a-side as well.

"They have quality forwards and our backs will really have to be on their toes to hold them.

"Most of their players have played either at underage or senior level for Antrim and they've got Rory Gallagher who's played for Fermanagh as well.

"So we are under no illusion that it's going to be one hell of a task."
